Mayor Honors SJSD Employee, Veteran with Proclamation
(December 3, 2019) A passion for guiding youth is something that is to be expected from an St. Joseph School District employee, but one man’s dedication to his students and the community has earned him praise from City Hall.
St. Joseph Mayor Bill McMurray honored Lt. Col. Brett Hall, Central’s JROTC instructor, during Monday’s City Council meeting. He proclaimed December 2 as “Lt. Col. Brett Ryan Hall Day” in honor of Hall’s service to students and the community.
Hall served the U.S. Army for 21 years, and has been an instructor at JROTC for 15 years. He spends his time leading JROTC students not only at school but also in their service to the city.
The proclamation from the Mayor highlights Hall’s core values of loyalty, duty, respect, selfless service, honor, integrity and personal courage.
