The St. Joseph School District Board of Education filled the vacant seat on Board during a special meeting on Saturday, April 8, 2017.
The Board selected Larry Koch from a pool of four finalists.
Koch spent more than 30 years at Heartland Regional Medical Center (now Mosaic Life Care). During his time with the hospital, he worked in the computer department and served as the Chief Information Officer. Koch also spent 12 years on the City Council for St. Joseph. He has also served on various boards.
Koch and three others – Maggie Elder, Aaron Duncan and John Hickman – were selected as the finalist by the Board of Education during a meeting in late March. They all took part in second-round interviews, which included one question from each member of the Board.
Koch will fill the vacant seat left open by Chris Danford’s resignation. He will be sworn in during a special meeting on Monday, April 10, 2017.
