If a staff member or student has received recognition for outstanding, state, or national experiences in education, fine arts, athletics, or activities, the St. Joseph School District administration would like to recognize their accomplishments. All recognitions will take place during a Board of Education meeting.

Please fill out this form and return it to the superintendent’s office within four weeks of receiving the recognition. This would allow enough time to complete the appropriate materials to be placed on the Board meeting agenda. Please fill out one request form for each staff member/student being recognized. 

It is recommended that the principal/teacher/coach of the student attend the meeting, as well as students and parents. It would be appropriate for the principal/teacher/coach to say a few words (no longer than two minutes), explaining the recognition. After each student name is called, the student is to come to the front of the room to collect a certificate from the Board president. Staff recognitions will be handled by administrators at the Board meeting. All Board meetings start at 5:30 p.m., so  please arrive no later than 5:20 p.m., as recognitions always occur at the beginning of the meeting. Be sure to check in with the Board secretary once you have arrived to ensure the Board meeting runs as smoothly as possible.
