The St. Joseph School District will accept declaration of candidacy from any person interested and qualified per state statues and Board policy BBBA, in running for a position on the St. Joseph School District Board of Education in the April 5, 2022 election. Two positions are available with three-year terms.

It is important for candidates to know a bill passed by the Missouri Legislature last session will shorten the filing period for the upcoming school board election. Those interested will have 13 days to file for candidacy.

Candidates should enter the building through Door #7 located off the parking lot.

Filing will not occur on days when the District Administration offices are closed due to holidays, inclement weather or in the event of closure due to COVID. Candidates can call 816-671-4003 or email [email protected] to inquire if offices are open.
