All Students Eat Free Graphic(Oct. 29,2020) Beginning Monday, November 2, all students who attend school in the St. Joseph School District will receive free meals. The district applied for an exemption to the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) and was granted the waiver to offer the Seamless Summer Option to all schools in the district.

Until this recent exemption, students who attend Central, Bode, Field, Ellison and Oak Grove were required to pay for meals or apply for free or reduced meal status. Under the waiver, all students, regardless of income, will receive free meals (breakfast and lunch) through June 2021.

The USDA has provided flexibilities to help schools feed students through the school meal programs. Many families might not qualify for free meals but may be facing tough times.

The district provides free meals each week for Virtual and Hybrid students. Families must submit their meal request form weekly. For more information click here or call 816-671-4140, Monday-Friday from 8 a.m.-4 p.m.
