SJSD Online Enrollment – 2022-23

Families of both new and returning students are now able to use the St. Joseph School District online enrollment system (PowerSchool Enrollment) to enroll students for the 2022-2023 school year.  PowerSchool Enrollment provides families with convenient 24-hour a day, seven day a week access to the online registration feature.

If you registered a student in the St. Joseph School District last year using PowerSchool Enrollment, you should already have an account set up that you may need to log into.  If you have not used PowerSchool Enrollment in the St. Joseph School District previously, you will need to create an Enrollment account prior to completing the form.

Parent Note: The online student enrollment process represents only some of the requirements parents fulfill as they enroll their child in district schools. Because certain requirements vary from school to school, please check with your child's school to see what additional paperwork may be required.

Returning Students to SJSD
If your student attended school in the St. Joseph School District on the last day of the 2021-2022 school year, you will receive a snap code either through email or regular mail.  Once you receive this code, you may access the online registration system. These codes will be sent out the week of July 18, 2022. If you have not received your code, contact the SJSD helpdesk at
816-671-4444 or email
[email protected].

Once you receive your student’s snap code, click here to enter your student’s snap code and begin the returning student registration process or use the individual link included in the registration email if you received one. Click here for the returning student registration in Spanish.  (If site appears in English, click to change the language in the upper right-hand corner.) It is important that if your student is returning to the St. Joseph School District from the previous year that you DO NOT fill out the New Student Registration form.

Many buildings will also have an in-building component to finalize registration, so please watch for information from your school regarding those dates.

New Student Registration for 2022-2023 School Year
Students who are new to the SJSD may access the online enrollment system now. This includes incoming Kindergarten students who did not attend SJSD Preschool last year.

Preschool Registration – Please contact the Early Childhood department for information regarding Preschool registration.

Kindergarten Registration – Incoming kindergarten students, who did not attend SJSD Preschool last year can register online, but should register as a “new student.”

1-12 Grade New Students - New students are those who did not finish school in the St. Joseph School District during the 2021-2022 school year and are entering grades 1-12.  Students who are moving to a different school within the district are still returning students and should fill out the Returning Student form.

Prior SJSD Students Who Did Not Complete 2021-2022 With Us - Students who did not attend the last day of the 2021-2022 SJSD school year must complete the New Student Registration 2022-2023 form in order to fill out the Release of Records portion of the registration process.  The district will need to contact the school your student ended the 2021-2022 school year with for your child's records.

Please fill out the online student registration form for new students. After you create an account (if you do not already have one), click on "New Student Registration 2022-2023." Click here for new student registration form in Spanish.  (If site appears in English, click to change the language in the upper right-hand corner.) Translation is available for Chuukese students on the introduction page of the English version of new student registration.

What information do I need to fill out the form?
In order to save time, it is important to gather required documents that will be needed for registration and ensure you have access to update your student's medical and personal information. Information you will be asked for includes the following:

  • Previous School Information – Names, addresses, and contact information (including phone number and fax number) for the last previous school outside of the St. Joseph School District your student has attended, if any.
  • Updated medical information – including names and contact information of doctors, last exam dates, and insurance or Medicaid information.
  • Updated contact information – including the names, addresses, and contact numbers of people you want the district to have as contacts for your student.

You will have the option to upload an electronic copy of the following documents during the online registration process. However, you may still be asked to provide a hard copy of some of these to the building for review.

  • Proof of residency, such as a lease agreement or utility bill showing the student lives in the school's attendance area
  • Immunization records
  • Birth certificate
  • Photo ID for data access account

If parents/guardians need help with the process or additional information, contact your school or the SJSD helpdesk at 816-671-4444 or email [email protected].
