As announced previously, student emails will soon be moving from the Gmail domain to the Outlook domain.  This change is now scheduled to take place sometime the week of August 10th.  Any emails or attachments student have in their Gmail accounts that they want to preserve need to be saved to their Google Drive, Microsoft OneDrive, or other location such as a flash drive by Friday, Aug. 7th.  After the change, any new emails sent to students’ current @students email account will be forwarded to their new Outlook account.

Each student’s Microsoft OneDrive account will be associated with their new email address and can be used for cloud storage of files.  A new Google Drive account will also be assigned to each student that will be associated with their new email address.  Once the change is made, any files saved in the student’s current SJSD Google Drive will need to be moved to either their OneDrive (recommended) or to their new Google Drive.  Students will have several weeks after the beginning of the new school year to move these items, after which time they will no longer have access to their current SJSD Google Drive.

New Student Email Login Information

When we move student email to the Outlook domain the first week of August, students’ Gmail accounts will no longer function.  To access their new email account, students will need to navigate to http://portal.office.com and sign in.  Their login pattern will be as follows:

  • Username: firstnamelastname@sjsd.k12.mo.us (e.g. bobsmith@sjsd.k12.mo.us)
  • Password: lastnamestudentID (e.g. jones23455)
