Missouri’s Comprehensive Counseling and Guidance vision has gained national recognition as one of the finest. Bragg Stanley, Missouri Director, said it best, "The vision of the Guidance and Counseling Staff is to work with schools to help ensure that each school has a fully implemented comprehensive guidance and counseling program that supports the academic, career, and personal/social development of all students through the delivery of guidance curriculum, individual planning and responsive services. The program is managed and evaluated through system support activities that also support the on-going mission of the school." It is the goal of Robidoux Counseling Department to follow the edict set by Mr. Stanley.
I enter my fourteenth year as a School Counselor for Robidoux Middle School. I believe working for middle school is a lot like the Oreo Cookie: The best part of education is in the middle! We are in between elementary and high school: That can mean a tremendous amount of emotional growth and change. It is a privilege to join our teens as they prepare for high school during these three short years.
I am in my second year as a School Social Worker. I am a social worker at Robidoux Middle School two days a week and Lafayette High School the other three. My Masters is in Social Work from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. I enjoy my work with students on all levels and appreciate being able to support them during their adolescent years.
