Online enrollment will close on August 7. If you do not have access to enroll online, you will need to contact your student's school on August 3 to make an appointment to register in-person.
As the St. Joseph School District
plans for the school year ahead, steps are underway to ensure a safe return for
students and staff amid the ongoing pandemic. The district will provide updates
in the weeks ahead to help you prepare for any changes that may be necessary
due to guidance from local and state officials. For now, we wanted to
update you on a change that is coming to our registration process.
The St. Joseph School District is
excited to announce an online student enrollment system for the upcoming
2020-2021 school year, PowerSchool Enrollment. This online process replaces
many of the registration forms that students typically bring home to be filled
out. PowerSchool Enrollment provides families with convenient 24-hour a
day, seven day a week access to the online registration feature. Online
enrollment is open to new students entering kindergarten through 12th grade including out-of-district Hillyard students. This does NOT include
pre-school.
Parent Note: The online student enrollment process represents only
some of the requirements parents fulfill as they enroll their child in district
schools. Because certain requirements vary from school to school, please check
with your child's school to see what additional paperwork may be required.
Returning Students
to SJSD
If you went to a school in the St.
Joseph School District last year you will receive a snap code in the mail, once
you receive this code you may access the online registration system. These
codes were mailed the week of June 15, 2020. If you have not received your code
by July 1, 2020 contact the SJSD helpdesk at 816-671-4444 or email
helpdesk@sjsd.k12.mo.us.
Once you receive your student’s snap
code, click here to enter your student’s snap code and begin the returning student registration process. Click here for the returning student registration in Spanish.
Many buildings will also have an
in-building component to finalize registration, so please watch for information
from your school regarding those dates.
New Students to
SJSD
New students are those who did not
attend a school in the district last year and are entering grades K-12. Parents of preschoolers SHOULD NOT
register them online. Students who are
moving to a different school are still returning students and should wait for
their snap code.
