Prior to the year 2024, special service records were not retained by the Saint Joseph School District. These records had a 3-year retention period. See schedules above for retention information for 2024 to current year.
Public Notice: Destruction Notice
The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act require that the St. Joseph School District destroy Section 504 records and special education records three years after the information is no longer needed to provide educational services to a student. Notice is hereby given that such records will be destroyed on or about July 14, 2023. A permanent record containing student’s name, address, record of grades, courses attended and grades completed will be kept in perpetuity by the SJSD records department.
