Notice Regarding Public Service Loan Forgiveness
In accordance with state law, the St. Joseph Public Schools is required to provide all new employees with information regarding eligibility for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program. Employees who work full time in a public school district might be eligible for this program. The Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program forgives the remaining balance on Direct Student Loans for borrowers after they have made 120 qualifying monthly payments under a qualifying repayment plan, as long as the borrower is not in default. Dr. Kraus received his Ed. D. in Educational Administration and Leadership and his M.S. in Secondary Guidance Counseling from Kansas State University. He received his B.A. in Behavioral Science Education from Bethany College.
Dr. Kraus was the Assistant Superintendent and Human Resources Director for Ottawa Public Schools in Ottawa, Kansas. Prior to that, he served as a high school principal and counselor in Kansas. Dr. Kraus has received many awards and accomplishments during his career including the Outstanding Graduate Student in Education Award at Kansas State University and the “Standard of Excellence” designation for reading at Santa Fe High School.
