(Sept. 8, 2021) The St. Joseph School District is joining with Second Harvest Community Food Bank to help feed local families through the FOOD FIGHT 2021 initiative.
All SJSD schools and buildings are encouraged to take part in this effort as it benefits our students and families. All food collected will stay at the schools that have Campus Cupboards. The items collected at schools that don’t have a food pantry will be distributed to SJSD schools that do. So, your participation benefits the students and families in our district!
Students and employees can bring non-perishable food items to buildings between now and September 30th. If you would like to donate online, please click this link. Fill out the information and make sure you indicate you are with the St. Joseph School District and list your school or department.
FOOD FIGHT 2021 is a competition among area businesses. The business that collects the most pounds will be determined the winner for each division. The category winners will be awarded the coveted Golden Can Award at a celebration breakfast hosted by Second Harvest Community Food Bank and announced on social media.
