April Board of Education Meeting to Be Held Via Zoom

The St. Joseph School District's Board of Education meeting scheduled for Monday, April 27 at 5:30 p.m. will take place as scheduled. However, due to guidelines on gathering put in place by local and state authorities, the meeting will not be accessible in person to the public. As such, this meeting constitutes an "emergency meeting" under the Missouri Sunshine Law.

The meeting will be conducted via Zoom and streamed live on the district's YouTube channel available here, and a direct link will be posted on all of the district's digital platforms, as well as shared with local media. The meeting will also be available later on cable channel 13. Community and staff members are encouraged to view the meeting from their homes. Additionally, recorded video will be available on the district website to watch at any time following the meeting.

Comments to be shared by community members should be emailed to Donna Baker (donnabaker@sjsd.k12.mo.us) no later than 12:00 p.m. on Monday, April 27. The comments will be read during the Public Comment portion of the Board of Education meeting. Community members can access the agenda at this link.

Although we realize this may cause an inconvenience for some, the main objective with this alternate format is to minimize the spread of COVID-19. The CDC recommends the best way to stop the spread in a community is to limit exposure to others. Your patience and understanding are appreciated as we work to lessen the impact of the virus, while also meeting the needs of our students and staff.
