Dr. Lau received her Ed.D. in Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis from the University of Missouri-Columbia. She earned her M.S. in Science Education from Northwest Missouri State University and her B.S. in Chemistry from Missouri Western State University.
Dr. Lau's prior leadership experience includes appointments as the Director of Assessment and the Gifted Education Program Director for the St. Joseph School District. Prior to that, she taught advanced placement, dual credit, and honors chemistry in the district.
Dr. Lau was awarded the Dissertation of the Year Award (2015) by the Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis Department at the University of Missouri-Columbia. Across the state, she serves as a Missouri Quality Examiner through the Excellence in Missouri Foundation.
