How do I access FollettShelf eBooks?
Visit the eBooks link on the left sidebar or go directly to Follett's Destiny Discover to access the shelf. For more help, go to Follett's Destiny Discover help site.
How do I log in to FollettShelf?
For guest access, use the following username and password:

How do I read an eBook?
To instantly read an eBook, click on the cover of the book. The eBook will instantly open in the Follett Online Reader, allowing you to navigate and read the book in your browser. For more help, please see the Follett Destiny Discover help site.
How do I "check out" an eBook?
To check out an eBook, click on the title of the book or the small "i" symbol in the lower right hand corner next to the cover. This will bring up the book's summary. To the right, you'll see a green "Check Out" button. Checking out an eBook will allow you to keep the eBook for up to two weeks and access it via a variety of devices (see below).
How long can I check out an eBook? How many eBooks can I check out?
Elementary students can check out 5 eBooks for up to 7 days at a time. Secondary students can check out 5 eBooks for up to 14 days at a time. Staff can check out 10 eBooks for up to 14 days at time.
How do I return an eBook when I am done reading it?
When using the Follett Online Reader (browser) or Follett Digital Reader app (iPad), click on the Backpack symbol in the upper right hand corner. You'll be prompted to click either "Keep" or "Return Early." When using the Follett Offline Reader (Mac or PC), you'll see a "Return Early" button next to any checked out titles.
What devices allow me to access FollettShelf eBooks?
You can access FollettShelf eBooks using any computer (Mac or PC) with an Internet connection. eBooks can be read online using the Follett Online Reader. You can also download eBooks on your computer using the Follett Offline Reader. As well, you can read and download FollettShelf eBooks using the Follett Digital Reader app on the iPad.
How do I download or "check out" eBooks when using the Follett Offline Reader on my computer?
Downloading eBooks for offline reading requires use of your unique student/staff username and password.
Select an eBook to read and the eBooks will open automatically in the Online Digital Reader. Under the username in the upper right hand corner of the Online Digital Reader, users can select Download Offline. Follow the prompts on your screen to download the Offline Reader. Once downloaded, you'll be asked to log-in once again. You'll also need the unique identifier from our FollettShelf URL, which is: wbb32672
If the Offline reader has already been installed, open the Offline Reader application and select "Sync Checkouts." All checked out eBooks will appear. Select the green download button next to the book to begin downloading to the computer or device.

Can more than one person access a FollettShelf eBook at the same time?
Currently, our FollettShelf only offers single copies of eBooks. Many of our titles have multiple copies available for checkout. Unlimited, simultaneous access eBooks are available from Follett, but these must be offered on a building-by-building basis instead of a district-wise basis. We may pursue buying unlimited access eBooks in the future for our individual buildings.
Can I print, highlight, or take notes in a FollettShelf eBook?
Yes, you can print, highlight, and take notes when using the Follett Online Reader or Follett Offline Reader on a Mac or PC. You can also take notes when using the Follett Digital Reader app on an iPad.
