District to Offer Summer Journey Programs for Summer 2020
The St. Joseph School District has partnered with Catapult Learning to offer Summer Journey this year from May 27 through June 26. Summer Journey will combine academic learning with exploratory courses. All curricula is researched-based and features hands-on cooperative learning lessons across several areas of content, including high-interest activities to engage and motivate students.
Elementary school courses: 7:55 a.m. to 2:55 p.m. or 8:15 a.m. to 3:15 p.m.
Middle school courses: 7:25 a.m. to 2:25 p.m.
High school courses: May 27 through June 17 from 7:15 a.m. to noon
Examples of Journey courses include: To Games and Beyond, Field Day Primary, Brick Zoo, Sports Science, Rocketry, Art with an Aptitude, Robotics, Parachute Play, Summer Seuss and Let’s Have a Ball. The SJSD will continue to offer the Fine Arts Institute and Prairie Lands Writing Project.
