Blog Examples:One very busy 5th & 6th Grade class blog: Huzzah
Class blog from a year 6/7 teacher in Australia: TechnomathITS Team Blog: Modern Methods of LearningCollaborative School Blog: Lindbergh LiveA local example of a budding class blog: A Sixth Grade WindowAn example of a local student blog: Annaka's BlogStudent Blog URL Conventions:a) Elementary grades:"firstnamelastinitialgraduationyear"As in: seann87b) Middle Grades:This is where student choice come into play. Schools can also influence choice here.I still suggest: "firstnamelastnamegraduationyear" for basic student portfolio, or individual blogs.Blogs set up for a more specific purpose might be better carrying a more descriptive URL.c) High School:Blog URL's started in high school can be purely student choice. Many students may elect to maximize recognition by using their full name. That said, many students will eventually arrive in Middle and High grades with blog URL's created in elementary school. This is a good thing. Also remember that students can create multiple blogs along the way, and can easily transfer content from one blog to another.
