SJSD Board of Education Elects Officers

SJSD BOARD ELECTS OFFICERS

The St. Joseph School District Board of Education elected Dan Colgan as President and Brad Haggard as Vice President at its April 10th meeting.

Two new Board members, Chris Danford and Martin Rucker, were sworn in by Judge Dan Kellogg, as was Dennis Snethen, who was re-elected to a second term on the Board at the April 3rd election.

Mrs. Danford and Mr. Rucker replaced Diane Watson and Barbara Moore on the Board.

Mr. Rucker has served on the Board previously and has served three terms in the Missouri House of Representatives, and Mrs. Danford is a retired school counselor and faculty member at Northwest Missouri State University.

The Board also re-elected Janet Pullen as Treasurer and Debbie Consolver as Secretary.

Dr. Colgan previously served as SJSD Superintendent of Schools before being elected to the Board in 2010. Mr. Haggard, who was also elected to the Board in 2010, is an administrator for the Cameron Veterans Home. The Board officers serve two-year terms.
