I have been with the district for 24 years.  I graduated from Creighton University with a B.S. in Elementary Education.  I graduated with my M.S. in Reading Specialization and Certification in School Guidance and Counseling  from Northwest Missouri State University. I taught for 18 years and been a counselor for six.  I am the counselor at Ellison on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday and Pershing on Monday and Thursday. I am here to make your child's elementary experience successful.  I meet with your child for guidance lessons with their entire classroom. We work on topics such as drugs, friendship, career and  character education. I meet with students in small groups to work on similar difficulties. I also do short term individual sessions to teach students strategies that will help them in their everyday lives when it is needed.
