The purpose of social studies is to learn from those in the past.  In this department, we examine the actions of our predecessors and cultures of those societies to synthesize the best civilization for the future.  Students will be trained to be better thinkers in the curriculum and thereby better citizens in the future.

 

Highlighted methods of instruction include improving literacy, constructivist strategies, and the use of PBLs.
