Missouri’s Comprehensive Counseling and Guidance vision has gained national recognition as one of the finest.  Bragg Stanley, Missouri Director, said it best, "The vision of the Guidance and Counseling Staff is to work with schools to help ensure that each school has a fully implemented comprehensive guidance and counseling program that supports the academic, career, and personal/social development of all students through the delivery of guidance curriculum, individual planning and responsive services. The program is managed and evaluated through system support activities that also support the on-going mission of the school"

It is the goal of Robidoux Counseling Department to follow the edict set by Mr. Stanley.

I enter my sixth year as School Counselor for Robidoux Middle School. I have a Masters in Social Work from Kansas University: Subsequently, I spent two years of clinical supervision to obtain a License in Clinical Social Work. I am also a Certified Reciprocal Advanced Alcohol Drug Counselor.  My Guidance and Counseling certificate was granted through Northwest Missouri State University, which opened the doors to Robidoux. I believe working for middle school is a lot like the Oreo Cookie: The best part of education is in the middle! We are in the middle of elementary and high school: That can mean a tremendous amount of emotional growth and change. It is a privilege to join our teens as they prepare for high school during these two short years.

As a School Social Worker for the St. Joseph School District, I believe that we play an integral part in guiding students to improve their social and psychological functioning.  We are the the link between the student, family and school personnel and provide responsive services to help students reach their academic and personal potential.  Most commonly we guide students through short-term issues of both a personal and interpersonal nature.

This is my fourth year working as a Social Worker for this district and my second at Robidoux Middle School.  I received my M.S.W. from The University of Missouri-Columbia and B.S. in Criminal Justice from Missouri Western State University. Currently I share my time between Bode, Truman and Robidoux.  I am like Mr. Wing in the fact that I LOVE MIDDLE SCHOOL and believe that working in this setting is a huge opportunity to help students at one of the most trying times in their lives.
