 Facilities Use and Availability

 
**Teams are limited to 2 practices per week.**

Requesting gym time has moved to an online reservation system.  To request gym time, you must have a Google account to access the calendar and make a reservation.  You will also need to fill out a Building Use Agreement.

Guidelines:

Gym practice times are available from September – February
All Spring Garden events will take priority over practice times
Practice times will run from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Teams must bring their own equipment
There will be no scheduled practices on Wednesdays or nights when there are Spring Garden events.

Step 1:  Create Google Account
To create a Google account, click on the link below: Google Account

Step 2:  Select Gym
Click here to access the Big Gym Calendar
Click here to access the Small Gym (Cafeteria) Calendar

Step 3:  Add Calendars
Click the +Google Calendar icon at the bottom right corner of the calendar.  This will prompt you to enter your Google Account information.  After logging into your account you will be prompted to accept the Gym Calendar.  Click “Yes, add this calendar.”  If you plan on reserving time in both gyms at a future date, you will need to repeat this step for the to add the other gym calendar.

Step 4:  Request Permission
Send an email from your Google Account to brian.hansen@sjsd.k12.mo.us to request permission to add a practice time.  You will only have to do this once.  You will receive a confirmation email letting you know that you may now proceed to Step 5.

Step 5:  Add an Event
Simply click on the date you wish to reserve a practice time.  An event box will open.  You must click the “Edit event details” link to accurately request your time. 
1.    In the “Event Title” box, enter your Last Name – School Grade Level Gender Sport (example: Smith – Spring Garden 7th Grade Girls Basketball). 
2.    Under the “Event Title” specify the time.  Gym practices will be available in only two time frames: 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. OR 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.  If a previous event runs past 6:00 p.m., you may not request a 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. time. 
3.    Select the location by selecting the appropriate calendar from the “Calendar” drop down menu.  It is essential that you select the appropriate calendar to schedule your time in the correct gym. 
4.    Click “Save” at the bottom of the screen
