    This text is from the Nov/Dec 2009 issue of National Geographic's Young Explorer! magazine.  The text is available online at this address.  Students can look at it on a screen and even listen to it being read, or you can print it for classroom use, like I did in the lesson.  If you print, make sure you print "landscape" for best results.
